According to the investigators from Bartow County Fire and Rescue, the fire started in the children’s bedroom while everyone was fast asleep. Undeterred by the risk, noah reacted swiftly and decisively.

According to the news report, Noah woke up to find his bed engulfed in flames, a result of an electrical problem. Without any delay, he swiftly carried his 2-year-old sister, Lily, to safety through the only accessible exit — a window. They were trailed by the family dog, and all three managed to make their way to the backyard. However, Noah’s bravery didn’t end there, he was determined to go back and save his family from the raging fire. 

After ensuring the safety of the lily, Noah promptly evaluated the situation and hurried upstairs to wake his uncle, who played a crucial role in alerting the rest of the household. The family successfully evacuated and patiently waited for the arrival of emergency crews. 

Thanks to Noah’s quick thinking and bravery, everyone managed to escape without any serious injuries, except for minor burns on Noah’s wrist. Despite his selfless act, Noah humbly asserts that he was simply fulfilling his role as a caring family member.

Noah’s grandfather stressed how the boy’s quick actions not only saved their lives but also prevented additional harm to their house. 

‘if it weren’t for noah, we would have all been asleep and wouldn’t have known what was happening,’ his grandfather said 

Despite their gratitude for surviving, the family now confronts the daunting task of reconstructing their lives without the support of insurance. Fortunately, after Noah’s story gained attention, kind-hearted individuals joined forces to assist, raising over \$35,000 through a gofundme campaign to cover the necessary repairs. 

Noah is regarded by his family as their savior. If he had succumbed to fear, the result could have been disastrous.

‘Nobody got hurt,’ his grandfather assured. ‘We only suffered a little smoke damage, but we’re all safe and sound.’. 

In honor of his courageous actions, Bartow County Fire Department Chief Dwayne Jackson bestowed the title of honorary firefighter upon Noah and awarded him a lifesaving award for rescuing seven individuals.
