A 2-year-old employs affirmations to soothe herself, and it’s truly heartwarming.

What an exceptional (and endearing) method for this young girl to find comfort… still one of my all-time favorite videos!

Amidst the inevitable tantrums, tears that come with testing boundaries, and the heartwarming smiles children share, it’s indisputable that raising kids is a challenging task, often deviating from parents’ ideal visions.

Parents often face scrutiny for their parenting styles, which only adds to the complexity. Fortunately, there are instances when parents receive recognition for their approaches, much like the mother in the video below who utilizes positive affirmations to teach her 2-year-old daughter how to self-soothe.

Shelbee Haderer, hailing from McCloud, Oklahoma, instructs her daughter Brilee on overcoming tears and encouraging self-calming by repeating a few delightful affirmations that every child should embrace: “I’m okay. I’m strong. I’m beautiful. I’m loved. I’m worthy.” In a viral video that captured the attention of numerous individuals, Brilee is shown in tears after accidentally injuring her little finger. However, her mother intervenes, reminding her to employ these words of encouragement, and Brilee complies.

For a moment, he is visibly calm and relaxed. It is truly amazing how a little self-love can have such a positive effect on young children, a sentiment shared by all who have seen the video. The short video of gratitude offers, “Thank you, Mom,” a moment we find ourselves absolutely in love with.
