Greg, Joe’s father, revealed in a recent interview with Bored Panda that when Joe and his identical twin, Jesse, were just 4 years old, they were both put on the gifted register at their elementary school.
Realizing his proclivities, Joe’s parents enrolled him in an after-school art program, and the instructors there were impressed by his extraordinary talent.
The “Number 4” restaurant noticed Joe’s drawings.
When the teacher shared Joe’s drawings on Instagram, the restaurant became aware of his talent.

Joe’s father picks him up after school and takes him to a restaurant where he continues to work on his masterpiece.
We were thrilled when they approached us about it, Greg said in a previous interview. “They wanted Joe to contribute a piece of art to decorate the wall of the main dining room in their restaurant. “When I asked Joe, he readily accepted the chance, so we started going to the restaurant after school. Every night for a few hours, he would let his imagination run wild on their wall.
Joe was given complete creative freedom.
Joe decorated the walls of the restaurant over the course of about 12 hours and the results were simply amazing!
In his advice to other parents, Greg said, “I would encourage parents to continue to support their children in pursuing their passions and goals. Research local organizations or workshops in your area.”
Joe now has his own website and has earned the nickname “The Doodle Boy”.

Joe has a strong love for drawing and we are quite proud of all his achievements. It’s pretty amazing, Greg said, that another company approached our 9-year-old son to make a piece of professional art.
