Neil then tried to escape from the limo and call for help. However, Hiedgen had a shattered back. Jennifer was also injured. She had a broken leg and was looking for her daughter. Then she witnessed the horror. Even though Katie was lying next to her, the seat belt severed her head.
Witness The first to come and offer help was Michael Tangney. He was the bride’s uncle and a policeman and also attended the wedding.

Martin Heidgen’s offense was publicized through police reports. He had more than three times the legal limit for alcohol. And he was going 70 miles an hour. He drank at least fourteen beers that evening before getting behind the wheel, killing an individual and destroying a family.
Before committing the murder, Heidgen traveled two kilometers on the wrong side of the road.
Martin Heidgen was sentenced to 18 years in prison for two counts of second-degree murder.
