A Final Question!

A blonde, a brunette, and a redhead go to the same job interview.

A brunette is called first, and after filling out forms and answering questions, the interviewer asks his final question: “How many D’s are there in ‘INDIANA JONES’?” She pauses for a moment and answers, “One.” The interviewer thanks her and promises to get back to her after seeing the other candidates.

A redhead enters next. Following the usual procedure, the interviewer asks, “How many D’s are in ‘INDIANA JONES’?” She quickly replies, “One.” The interviewer says, “Okay, we’ll let you know.”

Finally, a blonde girl enters the room, goes through the same questions, and then asks her, “How many D’s are in ‘INDIANA JONES’? He looks very serious, starts counting on his finger, and mumbles, “2, 4, 6… wait, 2, 4, 6… can I borrow your calculator?”

After 15 minutes of intensive counting, he confidently answers, “Thirty-two.”

The interviewer, totally amazed, asks, “How did you come up with that number?”

The blonde replies, “Easy… Daaaa da da daaaa daaaa da daaaa… Daaaa da da daaa daa da daaaa da da… sing, you know the tune!”

The blonde’s answer left the questioner completely speechless. After spending so much time carefully counting and calculating, he couldn’t help but feel confused by her answer. Of course, you completely misinterpreted the question. While the brunette and the redhead simply counted the letter “D” in the name “INDIANA JONES”, the blonde somehow connected it to the melody of the famous theme song and thought she was being asked to count the notes instead of the letters.

This hilarious moment highlights the playful misunderstanding that can sometimes occur when people misinterpret questions, and how a simple job interview can take an unexpected and funny turn. While the interviewer was left stunned, the blonde’s answer certainly brought some levity to the otherwise typical process. Regardless of how she did in the interview, it’s clear that she won’t soon be forgotten for her unique approach to problem-solving.
