The disease can result in excruciating skin ulcers and blood clots. This can result in extensive bleeding. Patients with chronic kidney failure are almost the only ones who have this condition.
Hill was no different.
“I was sick for months. I could feel my skin tearing. My legs just wouldn’t stop bleeding for three days.”
Hill is said to have lost five pints of blood before his heart failed. He was lifeless for several minutes, but paramedics worked tirelessly to bring him back from the afterlife. In the end they were successful.
“I was aware of my bleeding. I was aware of the severity of it. To stop the bleeding, staff kept coming in and out.”
“I knew I died,” he continued. I was not part of my body. After that I simply fell asleep. When I woke up the bleeding had stopped. I realized that this is not my last moment. My priorities have shifted due to circumstances.
My family dynamic changed drastically after I left the hospital. My stamina has increased. I’m sure I can recover.” The last words he spoke were, “Everyone said I should be dead.
