Love is a beautiful thing and finding the person you want to spend the rest of your life with is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But sometimes people get so caught up in the technicalities of it all that they forget what’s important: love. Ariel and Quinn McRae are a young couple who showed the world that love does matter.
Finding the person you want to spend the rest of your life with is a special experience. People often get caught up in the details and overlook what is truly essential: love.
This young couple was just thinking about their mutual love while everyone around was thinking –
Quinn McRae and Ariel met when they were both in their 20s. The two eventually met and went on their first official date after numerous phone conversations. On a date, they enjoyed each other’s company and chicken wings. While driving aimlessly, they sang to each other and slowly fell in love.
Ariel remembered how she loved Quinn so deeply that she would marry him even after they first met. But the young couple decided to wait. After spending two years together, they decided to elope because they felt their relationship was sincere.
Ariel said she had never been happier in her life and couldn’t imagine sharing it with anyone else.
They were thrilled with their decision. Their rings were purchased from Pandora. The couple chose a set of sterling silver, pearls, and cubic zirconia. They were thrilled with their choice.
As one employee commented on their choice, “Can you believe some men get these as engagement rings?” their joy quickly turned to humiliation. How sad (sic).
Seeing her fiancé’s face fall, Ariel flew into a rage. He was already at rock bottom because he couldn’t afford Ariel’s dream ring. He was humiliated and felt defeated by this statement.
They received help from another salesperson who also billed them a total of $130.
Ariel wanted the employee to understand that when the right person was discovered, it wasn’t about material possessions. In her well-read post, she wrote that the ring is not what matters.
The love put into the purchase is important. She concluded that if it was a 25-gumball machine, she would marry this man. Why do material possessions equate to love, she pondered as she asked when the nation had fallen so.
A few days later, the two married as planned, regardless of the critical remarks they received.
The young couple saw that they had the most essential thing: love, while at the same time, they were fully aware of their financial limitations and the fact that they could not afford an extravagant, grand wedding. They believed that their love would sustain them through difficult times.
Ariel thinks that in the face of love, material things are unimportant. She claimed her husband was scared she wouldn’t want him because he couldn’t afford jewelry. Because he couldn’t get her the wedding set she wanted, he was worried that her affection for him would wane.
Ariel received several messages from people who identified with her message and believed in her wholeheartedly.
Ariel just wanted everyone to realize that the most important thing is the person, not the ring!
She outlined her desire for people to understand. The ring is just an added benefit. You don’t marry someone just to get a ring. Because you adore someone, you marry them.
What a sweet message of love. It is important to understand that material possessions should not be important when it comes to love and marriage.
Love is a powerful emotion that transcends all boundaries. It doesn’t matter if you have a lot of money or not; what matters is the love you share with your partner. Ariel and Quinn’s story is proof of that. They may have had a simple wedding and rings, but their love for each other is more valuable than any material possessions.
In today’s society, it’s easy to get caught up in the idea that bigger and better is always better.
I think the sales person should have kept her comments to herself…..What gives her the right to judge or make any kind of a negative comment. This young man bought what he could afford and his wife to be was totally on board with that. The most important thing here is that this man and woman were madly in love and you cannot put a price on them finding happiness…..Shame on the sales person. I congratulate this couple and hope and pray for forever happiness and love.
