A Tattooed Dad Transforms Himself for His Young Daughter’s Sake

We’ve all made regrettable decisions, done things we’re not proud of, and said things we wish we could take back.

But I think few of us regret as big and obvious as Ethan ‘ModBoy’ Bramble, an Australian body enthusiast with over 200 tattoos.

Getting inked is a common way to express yourself these days, and intricate, unpredictable tattoos seem to be all the rage.

But there is a limit to what most people will pay to dress up, and for most people that limit is well below what Ethan was willing to spend.

Ethan reportedly opted for his first body modification, which included ear augmentation, when he was 11 years old. He has since undergone numerous surgeries, including one to remove his belly button and split his tongue.

But most people notice his tattoos, which makes sense considering he’s completely covered up.

Ethan estimated that he paid about AUD 60,000 (about US$39,000) in total to make him look the way he did.

However, he has now expressed regret for his earlier decisions.

He noted, “I guess you could say I regret some of the tattoos,” on LadBibleTV’s No Filter series.

“Not just regret, I think there’s a difference between regret and wanting to be seen differently.

Ethan continued by saying that he worries about the criticism he will face for doing simple everyday tasks, including taking his young daughter to school.

“Face is a big thing that can lead to so many — for some people, not everyone — it can lead to a lot of problems for yourself that I probably wouldn’t want my daughter to have to deal with until she’s a little older,” he continued.

“I wish I wasn’t as hectic as the face.

Ethan undergoes excruciating laser surgery to try and remove some of the ink he got when he was younger in an effort to look better.

He explained, saying, “I’ve been having laser surgery, or almost had it, for a year now. I’ve probably gone through the whole thing six or seven times, but we’re doing it in parts.

“I started taking it because of my anxiety and other issues.

It’s hard to pinpoint mental health issues, but I’d like to believe that having a lot of facial tattoos contributed significantly to my anxiety.

“I’m happy with the way I look, but I’m also happy with the idea that I won’t have so many tattoos on my face in the next two years. I’m just going to clean the canvas.”

In conclusion, Ethan ‘ModBoy’ Bramble’s journey from extreme body modification enthusiast to father seeking transformation for his daughter is a poignant reminder of how our past choices can shape our present and future. His extensive and often painful modifications, which began at a very young age, reflect a deep and personal form of self-expression. However, as Ethan’s life circumstances changed, especially with the arrival of his daughter, so did his perspective on those changes.

Ethan’s story is one of personal growth and evolving priorities. His initial enthusiasm for body adornment and modification was driven by a desire to express his individuality, but he now recognizes the wider implications of his appearance, particularly in everyday activities such as taking his daughter to school. This shift highlights the complex relationship between self-identity and societal perception, and the impact our choices can have on those we love.

His decision to undergo the painful process of laser surgery to remove some facial tattoos is a testament to his determination to create a better environment for his daughter. This also underlines his desire to be perceived differently, not only by society but also by his child. Ethan’s openness about his regrets and the challenges he faces with anxiety related to his appearance adds a layer of vulnerability to his narrative that makes his transformation all the more impressive.

Ethan’s journey is a powerful example of how far a parent will go to protect and secure their child. It also serves as a broader commentary on the permanence of our actions and the possibility of change. While his past choices are literally etched into his skin, his willingness to endure the painful process of change shows that it’s never too late to redefine himself and prioritize what really matters.

Basically, Ethan’s story isn’t all about tattoos and body modifications; is about the deep love a father has for his daughter and his determination to be the best version of himself for her. His experience encourages us all to reflect on our own lives, consider the lasting effects of our choices, and recognize the power we have to change for the better, regardless of our past.
