The woman, feeling frustrated by her husband’s tardiness, decided to take action. She left a note explaining her choice to end the relationship. Quietly positioned herself underneath the bed eager to see how he would react.
As time passed by her husband arrived home. Made his way through the kitchen, into the bedroom. Unbeknownst, to him she watched covertly from her spot beneath the bed as he approached the dresser and found the note she had left behind. Taking a moment to read it he then grabbed a pen. Hastily scribbled something on a piece of paper.
With her heart pounding the woman held her breath as he reached for the phone. Dialed a number. Who was he trying to reach? What did he want to say? She strained to hear his whispered conversation. All she could make out was a touch of confidence, in his voice. After hanging up the woman began to question whether her decision had been impulsive.
“After weeks of longing, she finally packed her bags. Walked out the door.” Despite the heaviness in his chest he couldn’t wait to be reunited with his lover and feel her touch again. Nervously he dialed her number eagerly awaiting the sound of her voice, on the end. As he made plans to see her images of her nightgown accentuating her curves filled his mind.
Their love was intense and deep and he was willing to do whatever it took to make her happy. Speaking softly on the phone he expressed his love and excitement, about seeing her. It was clear that he was going to visit his lover. He grabbed his keys. Left, eagerly looking forward to the moments they would share.
As the sound of the car’s engine faded away she emerged from under the bed feeling angry and with tears welling up in her eyes. She picked up the note to see what he had written…
“I noticed we’re, out of bread. I’ll be back soon.”
