Al Roker and Deborah Roberts commemorate their 28th wedding anniversary with a heartwarming message: ‘A Wonderful Journey’.

After a year filled with challenges, it’s finally time for Al Roker and Deborah Roberts to acknowledge the year’s success. This past weekend, the couple celebrated 28 years of marriage. They both took to Instagram to share their huge admiration for each other, with adorable photos spanning several years.

“28 years ago, @deborahrobertsabc promised to stand by me through thick and thin, in good times and bad,” Roker, 69, captioned her post. “However, the most precious gift he has given me is our wonderful family. Happy anniversary, my dear.” Roker, who suffered life-threatening health problems last year, received unwavering support from his wife of 62 years, Roberts, who showed unwavering devotion to him, regardless of illness or health.

In Roker’s commemorative anniversary post, he shared a series of images encompassing various memorable moments. These snapshots featured their wedding day and endearing childhood pictures of their children. Furthermore, the post featured images of the couple in the company of former President Barack Obama and ex-First Lady Michelle Obama.

Roberts also seized the moment to pay tribute to her spouse of 28 years, sharing her own carousel of images that included a charming shot of the couple posed beside a wedding cake designed to resemble The New York Times front page announcing their marriage.

“Wow! It’s been 28 years. We embarked on this journey with a mixture of nerves, great excitement, and hearts full of hope,” he recalled. “It’s been an amazing journey. This past year has taught us to cherish every moment. You are mine…I am yours. And wherever you are, I am. Happy Anniversary my dear. We’re making memories.”

Roker and Roberts first met in 1990 when they were both working at NBC. Roberts later moved to ABC. The pair has two children in common: Leila, aged 24, and Nick, aged 21. Roker also has another daughter, Courtney, 35, from a previous marriage. If you enjoyed this story, be sure to mention Al Roker’s first granddaughter!
