After completing four rounds of chemotherapy, mother June Shannon recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight in an exclusive interview about her 28-year-old daughter Anna Cardwell’s progress. Cardwell said in March that she was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer.
In an interview, Mama June said her daughter is “doing pretty well” and “doing pretty well” since finishing chemotherapy. June said the family is taking things one day at a time. “A lot of people thought it would make her sick and stuff, [but] she’s able to bounce back pretty quickly,” June added.
As for the future, Anna Cardwell is currently trying to determine whether she wants to pursue immunotherapy or clinical trials; it is possible that he will not continue with either. Despite their complete agreement that the disease is incurable, Anna’s mother claims her daughter “just wants to see how it goes”.

Mother June Shannon was joined by her three other daughters: Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson, 17, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird, 23, and Jessica ‘Chubbs’ Shannon, 26. While Alana said chemotherapy “sometimes wears her body down Lauryn and Alana agreed that their sister was doing “pretty well.”
“She’s still able to go to the grocery store, she’s still able to drive herself, she’s still able to drive the kids to and from places,” Lauryn continued, saying she “has no hair, no eyebrows, no.” she doesn’t have any arm hair or anything like that.” She also talked about how Anna’s two children are coping.
Although Kaitlyn, Anna’s ten-year-old daughter, knows about the diagnosis and understands that “mommy is sick,” she is still a little too young to understand the full extent of the situation. Mama June went on to say that Kaitlyn probably knows her mom won’t be around for a while because she hasn’t been too far from her since the diagnosis.
