Built on a hill on a six-acre property, the couple reportedly spent five years preparing their Los Angeles home after tying the knot in 2015. Since moving in, the A-list couple have revealed plenty of fascinating facts about their barn-style home. At one point, Kunis revealed that she and her husband prefer a house to a farm. Speaking about the vision she and Kutcher had before building the structure, she stated:
“We wanted the house to resemble an ancient barn that had been transformed into a home over the decades. But it also needed to feel current and relevant.
Before starting the project in Los Angeles, Kunis and her husband, a Hollywood star, had separate Pinterest boards to visualize their ideal home. In the end, their preferences were almost identical.
After learning that architect Backen had designed most of the houses they sketched, they hired him to build their ideal farmhouse. As Kunis once noted, A’s celebrities are grateful for their common interests:
