The screen on the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo is one of the best I’ve used. It has a high resolution with great color reproduction and is also a touchscreen, which is perfect for drawing or designing.  

Keyboard and trackpad

The keyboard and trackpad on the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo perform brilliantly. They have a satisfying click that’s responsive and accurate, which is a huge boon for typing. In addition to that, the touchpad is large and has just the right amount of friction. 

You can use one or two fingers to move around, pinch-to-zoom or scroll with ease, thanks to its solid surface area. The only downside is that it’s not as sensitive as we would’ve liked it to be. 

When trying to select text in Google Docs, we often found ourselves dragging our finger across the entire screen before finally being able to select what we wanted. Still, this isn’t much of an issue when you’re working on other tasks like photo editing where precision doesn’t matter quite so much. 

It also comes with Windows Ink support and an optional active pen if you’re into sketching or drawing. Though most people will probably find the touchscreen more than sufficient for their needs, especially since there are no buttons on the device. We were impressed by how powerful and speedy the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo felt during testing. 

Specs, Performance & Benchmarks

The ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo is powered by the 12th Generation Intel® Core i7-12700H processor, with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 1TB PCIe SSD storage. It is fitted with a 14.5-inch 120Hz Full HD display, 2.3 GHz processor and Intel Iris Xe graphics card, and the Windows Mixed Reality Ultra immersive reality experience. 

The keyboard offers up to 3mm key travel and N-key rollover. For my test, I downloaded a 1.2GB 10bit 4K MP4 file and encoded it to H.264 for easy viewing in Premiere. If you’re encoding an offline project this should take about 15 minutes on average. 

On the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo, it took 5 minutes and 55 seconds! This is an insanely fast performance that would be helpful when using CPU-intensive programs like Photoshop or Illustrator. The Asus ZenBook Pro 14 Duo’s performance impressed us during testing. 

We ran some benchmarks and the machine showed exceptional speeds for both single-core and multi-core results. For instance, Geekbench 4 awarded the ZenBook Pro 14 Duo with a score of 9471 in Single-Core Performance Mode and 27237 in Multi-Core Performance Mode. 

It can handle any modern task thrown at it with ease and is worth every penny of its hefty price tag. If you’re looking for a laptop to do anything from video editing to gaming then look no further than the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo. 

Overall, it’s an incredible performer. For, personally, I still prefer to work off my desktop PC but if you’re on the go or constantly traveling then it’s a fantastic choice as a laptop replacement. With its powerful specs and great performance, it has everything you need in one machine.

Battery life & Charging

The battery life is one of the best features of the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo. It has a long-lasting 76Wh high-capacity battery life. With a single charge, you can get up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge, making it perfect for those who work on the go. 

You also don’t have to worry about running out of juice when editing photos or videos as this laptop provides more than enough power. When it comes to battery life, ASUS has really impressed me with its laptop. 

It has a long-lasting battery life and includes fast charging so I never have to worry about my laptop dying before I finish working. Plus, the speedy performance is an added bonus! Not only is it long-lasting, but it is fast as well. 

It takes approximately 1 hour and 12 minutes to charge from 0%-100% when using a 60W power adapter. That’s not too bad considering that it lasts up to 10 hours without charging! It’s impressive overall.

Software & Features

The ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo comes equipped with a Windows 11 Home operating system and preloaded software. ASUS preloads its proprietary software and features to help users get more done faster. The program, called Sonic Studio, offers four different sound modes: movies, gaming, music, and voice mode. 

It also includes Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC), which can be activated by pressing the ANC button in the lower right corner of the screen. ASUS’ Power Manager helps conserve power when the laptop is not in use. 

Additionally, there is an instant-on feature that allows you to turn on your PC from sleep mode within 2 seconds. With a powerful Intel Core i7 or core i9 processor, it packs enough of a punch to handle your most demanding tasks. In our real-world tests, we found it to be extremely speedy. 

One thing we noticed was how quickly it booted up – as soon as we hit the power button, the desktop appeared. As for its specs, you will be hard-pressed to find a laptop that can beat it. ASUS has developed a proprietary feature called NVIDIA GeForceDock that allows you to easily play and stream games from your laptop. 

If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, then this feature is compatible with any GPU. If not, they offer an external adapter that plugs into your laptop’s USB port and provides access to any graphics card. Its design is lightweight and durable, making it easy to carry around. 

It features a full HD display with maximum viewing angles of 178 degrees; when watching videos, colors were rich and vibrant. Another special feature worth mentioning is the ErgoLift hinge, which lets you adjust the keyboard so it tilts at a slight angle so your hands are positioned comfortably while typing. We found the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo to perform very well in every area.

Audio & Webcam

The ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 is the ultimate creative powerhouse. This is a proper workhorse laptop that won’t let you down when it comes to getting work done and making your creative ideas a reality. 

In addition, the built-in HiFi-grade ESS Sabre DAC with a headphone amp means that you’ll enjoy outstanding sound quality whether listening to music or using video conferencing services such as Skype. 

And with Bang & Olufsen tuned quad-speakers fitted, you’ll enjoy rich and immersive sound quality from movies and music to give you an awesome audio experience. 

The ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo has a superb webcam that is great for video calls. I used the camera to video chat with my sister and she was able to see me crystal clear while I could also see her in high definition. 

It takes just one second to activate the camera and you can use it as your default or open it when you need it. You can also adjust its position so you are sure to get all of your faces on screen. 

It’s an excellent webcam, not only because it is super simple to use but because the picture quality is absolutely stunning. If you’re looking for the perfect laptop then the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo should be at the top of your list.

The ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo is an excellent laptop that offers the perfect balance of power and portability. If you’re looking for a machine that can tackle both demanding creative work and everyday tasks, this could be your next laptop. 

If you are not sure whether you should buy a laptop or build your own desktop, it is recommended to opt for a laptop. These days, laptops are so powerful that they have almost become as fast as desktops. There is no longer much difference between them, except in their overall portability.
