Many people have prepared meaningful and heartfelt surprises in hopes of finding love, but their romantic pursuits take an unexpected turn. Some choose to post their failed romantic relationships online regardless of the outcome.
It was our first date so we didn’t kiss when I dropped her off in the parking lot of her car after our date. Her leaving and her walking around the parking lot made me go around my car, stop right in front of her, get out, and give her a kiss.
It reminded me of something I saw in a movie.
When I actually met her, I drove up to her, forgot to put it in the park, got out, and started walking away from the car. She gave me a panicked look and gestured so I turned around and hurried back to my car just in time to see it crash into another parked car. It was just another ordinary day in my life. © Reddit user who is unknown
At the beginning of my romance with the girl of my dreams, I had a car breakdown, but I was too young to rent a car. I could hire a U-Haul though. I rented a U-Haul and headed over to her house to pick her up for what I knew would be the most embarrassing date of her life for only $20 a day plus a few extra bucks for mileage.
That is until I pulled out. You know, when I got there, her family was pulling boxes out of storage and they had a lot of stuff. much like.
And when they saw me arrive in a U-Haul, they believed I was the greatest help.
Instead, I was forced to assist them with boxes all day. I’m not going on a date.
But, we recently got engaged, so yeah. © Reddit / Im_Justintyler
I was going to recreate our first dinner together under the stars for our fifth Valentine’s Day together. It was a Dole salad, pasta, and chicken Banquet patties topped with melted mozzarella and marinara sauce. When she asked about my plans for the previous days, I replied that I would prepare a special dinner. She commented with a laugh, “Probably just make the same food we did years ago or something stupid.” Needless to say, I decided to go with plan B.
For the record, my wife is a really kind woman. Not only did I mean it, she giggled at how predictable I was.
My girlfriend took painting classes because she was interested in art. She interpreted it as my opinion that her painting was terrible.

Riding an open sleigh pulled by a single horse is so much fun!
Warning: This is not fun at all.
After the first proper snowfall of the year, I booked a weekend at a decent resort in the north, with sleigh rides among the activities available. I imagined it resembled a Hallmark card. It could never be more wrong.
First, even though it was well below freezing, we were properly dressed. Throughout the trip, the horse’s gas supply remained consistent. The horse doesn’t seem to mind us being around either. He farts, crashes into rocks, and trims trees while riding a sled with no suspension.
Our guide warns, “Wait, this is where it usually capsizes.” It seems like we could collapse at any moment as if falling on solid wood behind a farting machine wasn’t unpleasant enough. While I’ve never seen this on a Hallmark card, it’s not unusual.
We returned tired, numb, and in agony. Riding a one-horse sleigh is fun, but you know what’s even more fun? sipping a drink indoors by the fireplace. or anything at all. Everything is more pleasant. After emptying and arranging the flowers, chocolate, teddy bear, and various of her favorite candies, I filled the closet section of my cabinet. She opened the closet and replied, “It’s not here,” before closing it when I invited her to take my “hoodie.” © TheNote7 / Reddit
Valentine’s Day. At the time, my girlfriend was in Thailand completing her certification as a yoga instructor. I managed to get in touch with the hotel where she was staying and arranged for them to bring over a dozen roses to place in her room while she cleaned.
On Valentine’s Day, she arrived home with roses and a knock on the door. To surprise her, I flew from New York to Bangkok and then again from Bangkok to Samui. However, the biggest surprise awaited me.
Two days later I learned that she had s*x with her ex who lived in Samui. I took a ferry to a neighboring island and spent two weeks alone there.
decided to take a risk with a close friend. Since neither of us was dating, I invited her over for Valentine’s Day dinner at my horrible dorm apartment (very smooth, right? I believed it.
I decided to buy a $12 shake and cook a pork tenderloin and some noodles. I had to keep telling myself, “He’ll be here any second.”
I texted her at about 9:00 p.m. She informed me that she thought the invitation was a scam.
She finally shyly arrived!
On Valentine’s Day, I tell her we’re married now.
I was quite scared about the wedding because my ex and I were to get married in eighteen days. So I left work early, went grocery shopping, made dinner, and organized a little memory scavenger hunt to help her remember why we were together. This led her to the dining table where her favorite food was waiting for her along with candles.
Then she lied about why she broke up with me. And a few weeks later I found out that our problems had nothing to do with the wedding. She was with someone else, that’s why.
In my sophomore year of high school, I had a lady that I really wanted to take home.
I decided to go on a treasure hunt and if I found her at the end I would bring flowers to say “home”. We were friends and she admitted that apart from me liking her, she also liked me. When she finds me after completing the treasure hunt, I present her with flowers and she accepts. I was giddy with anticipation.
Let’s go back in time to homecoming night. I head over to her to take her. Her mother opens the door when I knock and asks who I am.
When I inform her that I am her daughter’s return date, she tells me that her daughter left with another man fifteen minutes earlier and that the treasure hunt was “a bit over the top”.
Rather than telling me no out of the blue, she waited until I arrived at her house and asked my mother to tell me. I was really ashamed.
After that, he never tried to attend another dance school.
After being in a bad situation in another state for about a year, I had my girlfriend move in with me. She spent eight months saving up for a dress because she didn’t have enough money to buy it, let alone the gorgeous outfit that was waiting for her when it arrived under the Christmas tree. She opened the box as soon as she saw it because she was so excited. I made a mistake buying a dress.
Still, she appreciated the effort and wore it to formal occasions. A little later I got her the right outfit for her birthday.
We laugh about it now.
I had this grand plan to ask my crush to prom.
they made placards urging her to come home but did not identify themselves or give a name. Coincidentally, her neighbor claimed that he was also in love with her. She gave him her yes. Now they are married and no one thought I could do that.
It’s hard to be in a relationship because you often have to give up something for the person you love. Some carry them in the form of secrets that they keep to protect the feelings of their relationship. Despite this, they continue to share them anonymously online.
