“Show him this one too, Christopher,” she said quietly, and she reached into a hidden interior pocket of the worn blue suitcase — a pocket she had clearly chosen with care, the place where you keep the one document you cannot afford to lose — and drew out a single sheet of paper, folded into quarters, soft and creased from years of folding and unfolding.
