Christopher stood beside the site for a long moment in deep thought.

“Do you ever wonder what would have happened if June had not noticed that online post?”

“I think about it often,” Martha admitted.

“Or if your morning bus had been delayed by traffic?”

“It actually was delayed by twenty minutes,” Martha revealed.

“What if you had arrived just ten minutes later?” he asked quietly.

Martha reached out and held her son’s hand tightly.

“The important thing is that I arrived in time.”
