“I can order them for you tomorrow morning.”

“Is that down payment money legally protected if it came from my personal inheritance?” I asked.

Arthur put his glasses back on and looked at me in silence for a moment before he answered.

“That depends on how the title was drawn up and whether those funds were mixed into joint accounts,” Arthur said.

I picked up my blue binder, thanked Arthur for his time, and walked out into the afternoon air.
