Chapter 7 — Several Misconceptions

Monday morning, I carried the blue folder into Tanya’s office. She reviewed the company agreement, property records, bank statements, hotel charges, and the transfers to Natalie’s consulting business, then folded her hands.

“Your husband is operating under several misconceptions.”

“That’s a polite way of putting it.”

“He believes the business belongs entirely to him.”

“He always calls it his company.”

“Legally, it belongs to both of you.”
