The angle was clearer than my picture.

The detective didn’t ask whether I recognized her.

She asked what features made me believe the woman was Laura, then recorded my answers.

“Investigators have corroborating information,” she said.

“I can’t discuss all of it yet.

We have serious reason to believe Laura Miller is alive and has been using another identity.”
