“Then science has been served.” She laughed. “Did you use your cream?”
A pause. “Grandma says I don’t need it.”
My shoulders stiffened. “Put Grandma back on.” There was muffled movement.
“What?” my mother asked.
“She needs the cream before bed.”
“Her arms look fine.”
