I did not need them to suffer.

I needed them exposed — the lie killed, the truth on the record, my name and my father’s promise restored.

Their suffering was a byproduct, not a goal, and it gave me no joy, and I did not linger on it.

I had come for the truth, not for their pain.

I got the truth.
