Five Audited Bank Receipts Proved What Julian Had Done Before Noah Was Born
“The trust pays for care at the county general hospital unless certain conditions are met,” Eleanor said, reaching into her handbag and taking out a three-page legal document bound in blue card stock.
“Julian and I have drafted an addendum to the trust agreement.”
She slid the blue folder across the table until it covered my clinic receipt.
I opened the first page and read the bold heading at the top.
“Voluntary Statement of Temporary Prepartum Incapacity,” I read out loud.
“If you sign it, the foundation will cover all your private medical expenses, including a personal nurse for six months after the delivery,” Eleanor said.
“This document hands my medical decisions over to Julian,” I said, my finger tracing the second paragraph, where my legal custody rights were restricted.
