Harold glanced at the assisted-living brochure still visible on the island. “So I see.”
Vanessa stepped beside Daniel. “We offered Margaret a safe, appropriate option. She chose to react emotionally.”
I answered before Harold could. “I chose to leave after being told to leave.”
“That’s not what Daniel meant,” Vanessa said.
