At nine the next day, Sebastian arrived at Ashford headquarters expecting a routine signature.

Selene came too, in a cream suit, confident enough to bring Theo and leave him with a nanny outside the conference room.

Neither of them knew that three months before my father died, he had transferred Ashford’s final voting block to me.
