Some transactions appeared legitimate, or at least supported by services.

Others had no meaningful documentation.

A portion could be traced to Shoreline; another portion was tied to Fairhaven Management Services.

What caught my eye was the owner listed on an older banking form for Fairhaven: a man named Eric Shaw.

“Who is he?” I asked.

The lead auditor, Helena Brooks, checked her notes.

“The entity’s registration agent identified him as a beneficial owner, but we’re still verifying the supporting documents.”

I knew that name.
