I examined the schedule.

Then turned the page.

The Westchester mansion was held through the family’s existing property arrangements.

So were certain other valuable assets.

The vintage automobile collection remained separately documented.

The intended later charitable gifts involving those assets hadn’t been completed.

I looked toward Arthur.

“You told everyone you gave away your entire fortune.”

He rubbed his forehead.

“I intended to.”
