The geophysical survey results suggest that many more enclosures await excavation.

Each of those enclosures, when eventually opened, will carry its own carved imagery, its own arrangement of pillars, its own history of construction and use and backfilling.

The specific images in those unexcavated enclosures will tell us things we do not currently know.

Perhaps they will include imagery types not yet represented in the excavated portions.

Perhaps they will clarify the pattern of animal associations — which animals cluster in which enclosures, and what that might tell us about the social meanings attached to different parts of the site.

Perhaps they will provide evidence of architectural variation that enriches the understanding of how the site developed over time.
