“Who is Natalie?” Claire asked.
Lauren looked confused. Ethan’s face gave the answer before he did. “No one.”
Claire took a printed itinerary from the briefcase and set it beside the bank records. Lauren picked it up, her hands beginning to shake. The first page showed Ethan’s name.
The second showed Natalie’s. Departure, 2:40 p.m. the next day. There was no third ticket.
“You said we were leaving next month,” Lauren whispered.
Ethan’s face stayed controlled. “This is a business trip.”
