What the House Held

In late August I organized a small gathering for Nora, Caroline, Denise, and a few friends who had helped us through the year.

It wasn’t a celebration of a divorce or an estate.

I wanted to thank the people who had shown up when I needed steady company rather than advice delivered from a distance.

We ate on the back patio.
