Grandma stared at the thick stack of paper bills on the table with wide eyes.

“Sweetheart, this is way too much money, and this is certainly not your bill to pay,” she insisted softly.

“Please do not worry about that right now, but please take this money and buy your medication today,” I replied firmly.

“What are you planning to do about the wedding reception later?” she asked nervously.
