“You’ve been spying on me?” Preston shouted at me, wheeling around.

“No,” I said flatly.

“I’ve been auditing my investment.

There is a difference, and your lawyers will explain it to you at length.”

Reginald slammed his fist on the table and turned on his son with the fury of a man watching his family’s name detonate.

“You absolute idiot,” he said.
