Chapter 10 — The Binder

Arthur opened it with a frown, the frown of a man expecting a bluff.

His eyes reached the first page — a certified forensic audit laying out the forty-five million dollars in diverted offshore funds — and I watched the arrogance drain out of his face and something like terror flood in to replace it.

He turned the page.

The forged collateral signatures on Patricia’s trust.

He turned again.
