“Everybody knows she represents your first marriage,” she whispered, and there was an edge in it now.

“Constantly placing her beside us makes it look like Rebecca is still part of this relationship.” I looked at the woman I had intended to marry within minutes, and I understood that I had never actually met her until this exact moment.
