Pamela reached out to grab my hand.

“We’re both emotional right now,” she pleaded.

“Let’s complete the ceremony and handle this afterward, like adults.”

I stepped back, out of her reach.

“There will be no ceremony today,” I said.

“You can’t cancel our wedding because Hannah misunderstood one conversation.”
