I did not entrap anyone, or exaggerate, or manufacture a single fact.

I never once raised my voice.

Everything the dean read from that envelope, everything that appeared on those screens, was a true and documented record of things my sister and her boyfriend had freely chosen to do, of their own will, without any push from me.

I did not author their downfall.

They authored it.

I merely refused, for the first time in my life, to absorb it silently — refused to swallow this particular cruelty the way I had swallowed all the others, and instead let the record of it be read aloud in the light.
