Tristan had ambition.

More ambition than anyone I had ever known.

He could walk into a room full of strangers and make them believe he already belonged there.

He could convince a business owner with three delivery vans to trust a man who owned one.

What Tristan did not have was capital.

Or strong credit.

Or patience for permits, insurance, payroll, compliance filings, tax documentation, fleet-maintenance schedules, or the thousand tedious details required to turn an idea into an operating business.

I had those skills.
