“Did you sign it?” Daniel asked.

“I locked it in a drawer.”

“Aaron submitted a proxy agreement to the executive team at eight thirty,” Daniel said.

“He told them you transferred your voting rights to him last night.”

I stopped tapping my ring against the mahogany desk.

“What do you mean, he says I transferred my voting rights?” I asked.

“He overrode the system permissions to list himself as the sole voting entity,” Daniel said.

“He needs that waiver to clear the compliance check, but he’s acting like he already has it.”
