There are always papers.

Among them were the forms connected to the organ donation Mark had asked for, on the porch, in the last of the light.

And I sat in a small hospital room and signed the final donation papers with tears dripping onto the page, blurring my own signature, so that a nurse had to gently blot the paper and ask me to sign again.
