Trust without verification is not love and it is not loyalty.

It is just an unlocked door, and the world is full of people who will walk through an unlocked door.

So I built my rule, and I built it to apply to everyone, my own family first — because the day you exempt the people you love from scrutiny is the day you have started building the exact blind spot that a Gavin, or a Mason, will eventually find and live inside.
