Daniel looked toward Margaret.

“Is Mom really capable of making all these decisions?”

Margaret answered carefully.

“Evelyn has demonstrated that she understands the relevant choices, their consequences, and the documents we’ve reviewed.

Her mobility limitations don’t remove her decision-making authority.”

He looked embarrassed.

“I wasn’t saying she’s incapable.”
