“The suspect approached the front door, saw the four-year-old child crying alone inside the residence, spoke directly to the child through the glass, and returned to her vehicle,” Rebecca said.

“She left the property without giving aid or contacting authorities.”

She listened for a moment.

“Yes, Your Honor,” Rebecca said.

“The mother is sitting here with me now.”

Rebecca tapped her pen against the base of the phone while the judge spoke.

“I’ll send the electronic affidavit to your clerk right now,” Rebecca said.

“Thank you.”
