“She intercepted some of your mail months ago when she sneaked in,” Evan confessed, the words pouring out of him like blood from a wound. “She used your name and this address as a guarantor on a private loan.
A bad one. The kind with people who don’t send polite letters. They’ve been calling my phone. They know we’re here. She brought us here because she figured if they showed up, they’d deal with you instead of us.”
