“Your marriage was a lie, Chloe,” I said gently.
“But the love you gave Noah wasn’t.
The boy is innocent in all of this.”
She looked out the window at Noah, coloring happily at a nearby table, oblivious to the wreckage around him.
She wiped her eyes and pulled him into a fierce hug.
