I arranged several photographs along the porch railing. A dinner at the marina steakhouse. A shopping trip downtown. A luxury hotel lobby, during a weekend she’d claimed they were cutting expenses.
None of it was shocking on its own — just costly decisions set beside debts they could no longer afford.
Trent moved closer. “Rebecca, you told me you were meeting with buyers.”
“I was networking,” she snapped.
“For a business that’s bleeding?” I asked.
