He had located and disconnected the obvious camera in the hallway.
He had been quite pleased with himself, I think.
He never discovered the second, smaller camera, the one I had tucked inside a smoke detector on the ceiling, looking down on that same hallway, recording everything, backing itself up to a server my son did not know existed.
I want to be clear that I take no pleasure in what that camera captured.
But I am very glad it was there.
