The suffering that followed, the arrest, the ruin, the shame, is on you, because you are the one who spoke.

And that voice is a lie, but it is a compelling lie, because it contains a fragment of truth: it is true that if I had stayed silent, the collapse would not have happened when it did.

But that fragment of truth conceals the larger falsehood, which is the confusion of the person who reveals a wrong with the person who commits it.
