Renata’s Pink Blanket Led Me Back to the Letter My Parents Buried
Renata studied the invitation again.
She had colored a yellow star beside the time of the concert, and the star had six points instead of five.
“Can I bring my pink blanket back to my room?”
“It never had to leave.”
“I know.
But it was in the bag in case the judge said I had to go somewhere.”
I set the lunch box beside her school folder.
“The bag can stay empty today.”
