There was nothing remarkable about her clothes, except that one sleeve was buttoned incorrectly.

Calvin reached over and fixed it.

That small gesture bothered me more than the folder.

I took two steps toward them, then stopped beside a parked sedan.

“Are you sure?” the woman asked.

Calvin nodded.

“We can talk about the rest when we get upstairs.”

She looked toward the Havenwood entrance.

“I don’t want another meeting today.”

“I understand.”
