Seven Yellow Folders Exposed What My Parents Had Done to Ethan
“Before he went into the hospital, did Grandfather ever say anything to you about those bank accounts?” I asked.
“Grandfather showed me his navy notebook back in July,” Ethan said.
“He kept handwritten ledger entries in it with the exact bank account numbers for the whole trust.”
“Where’s that notebook now?” I asked.
Ethan dug into his jacket pocket and brought out a brass key tied to a length of string.
“I locked it in my study locker at the public library,” Ethan said.
“I took it out of Grandfather’s drawer the night the ambulance came for him.”
