Three Faces: What the Comparison Showed

When the three reconstructed faces of Zlatý kůň were placed side by side, the visual differences were immediately apparent to even a non-specialist observer.

All three showed dark pigmentation — dark skin, dark eyes, dark hair — as the genomic data indicated.

All three showed the same general cranial architecture, the same basic relationship between the size of the braincase and the size of the face, the same fundamental proportions that the skull imposes.

These commonalities were real and important: they told you that all three reconstructors were faithfully responding to the skeletal evidence.
